Letter from your PTSO President
Welcome South Academy of International Languages (S.A.I.L.) Families!
I am honored and thrilled to be serving once again as your PTSO president. We are looking forward to another successful 2023/24 school year. Last year, our focus was moving into the "new" school, hosting in-person events when we could, and building back community after being apart due to Covid. We also created new events that will become long standing traditions. I am happy to announce that all of our events and activities will be in-person this year!
The goals for our PTSO are to assist students, staff, and teachers by providing support for educational and enrichment needs, to promote open communication between administration, teachers, and parents/guardians, to give our students a robust educational atmosphere and opportunities to thrive, and to encourage S.A.I.L. school spirit and pride.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with us, the S.A.I.L. PTSO is a volunteer non-profit organization made up of parents, administrators and support staff with a mission to promote quality education for all of our students. We encourage all parents, guardians, grandparents and other family members to join the PTSO and get involved in the wide variety of cultural and recreational activities that make S.A.I.L. such a special community.
There are so many ways to get involved, from serving as room parent, signing up to wear our new Phoenix mascot uniform, helping with Used Blues, or to volunteer to help in one of our many events we host throughout the year. We will certainly need a lot of volunteers this year to help us with our events! But whatever your interest and time allows, we encourage you to become an active part of our school community. We’d love to have you be part of our team of amazing parents/guardians who selflessly give their time and talents to our school.
To support our wide variety of activities, our fundraisers from years past will continue throughout the year. More information on these, as well as a list of all our upcoming activities and PTSO membership link can be found throughout this webpage. Whether you donate your time, your services, your skills, or your spirit… YOU will be the reason we are successful for our children. Thank you for being a part of the S.A.I.L. family and we look forward to seeing you throughout the year.
